Auvergne is the perfect place for a picnic on the banks of one of its many lakes carved out of volcanic stone, or a hike along sometimes hidden trails, or a visit to a medieval chateau or a hot thermal spring. Extreme sports enthusiasts can enjoy a parachute jump or paragliding on Puy Mary in the Cantal while visitors who enjoy calm and are looking for a change of scenery will delight in a hot air balloon flight over the famous Puy de Dôme and the Puy mountain range.
